Meet Katie Deaton, Head of Finance and Administration for Language Exchange.
Katie happened upon the language industry, joining Language Exchange as a part time receptionist.She decided to stay with the company and eventually worked her way up to the head of the finance and administration department. Some accomplishments that Katie is proud of include overcoming her fear of public speaking and participating in Muscular Dystrophy Association's Jail or Bail fundraiser.
Katie's favorite way to spend her free time is with family and friends, especially her daughter. She enjoys taking her daughter to the park and doing art projects with her, as well as camping, cooking, and baking. Some values that Katie holds highly are accountability, kindness, and respectfulness. She values when someone takes responsibility for their actions, rather than blame their decisions or actions on someone else. She lives by the saying that you can't control someone's actions, but you can control how you respond to them. It's with this in mind that Katie values treating others with kindness and respect, rather than assume the worst of them, resulting in bettering their day as well as yourself.
