Meet Julie Scerbik, Operations Manager for Language Exchange.
Julie joined Language Exchange in 1998 when she was referred to a job opening by a friend. Since then she has loved building relationships with the interpreters she's partnered with and the many clients she's been able to interact with. Julie has experienced her fair share of seemingly impossible requests, when there is a sudden and immediate need for rarer languages. She is proud whenever she and the team are able to meet these needs, such as when they are able to secure a Sign Language interpreter for a deaf consumer's stay at a hospital or an indigenous language interpreter for a foster child's introduction to a new foster parent.
In her free time, Julie enjoys camping with her husband in their RV and creating art of all kinds. Julie shares all the core values of Language Exchange; Humility, Enthusiasm and Empathy, Adaptability, and Respect & Take Action. These shared values are why she has remained with the company throughout the years.
